The May 1st Fire Wagon Tour - May 1st is like the German labor day or something so everyone is off work and has a big party. Its also the day that you go and cut down a "Mai-baum" (May Tree) and install it in front of the window where your girl lives and defend it from robbery or removal from another guy who might have a crush on the same girl. We celebrated this night by going on tour with a wagon that Sascha fabricated while the rest of us were grilling up some bratwurstchen. This wagon pulled 2 cases of beer (20 bottle cases), a fire for warmth/coolness, and of course a big supply of firewood. It had 4 ropes/chains and took at minimum 3 people to pull. We drug this mobile party thru several villages down the main streets and on to a real 1st May party. Even if the quality of the pics is quite bad, the evening itself will not be soon forgotten.
